- more than 1200 calories. try like 18000, you may not get super fast(unhealthy) results but it will be better in the long run. and try more protein like lean meat.
- they sure do! i used to be like 140lbs, 5'7. now i'm 110lbs, 5'7. If you just eat a ton of fruits and vegetables, you'll feel full and still be getting good nutrition... but you won't have all the needless calories in sugary cereals etc. so stick to fruits and vegetables!
- If you can keep a normal eating habit of 1200 calories then that's fine plus don't freak out if you go over the 1200 mark every now and then. Oh and pop a couple of vitamins to make sure you are getting all the nutrients you need.
- Never starve yourself. This is one of the big mistakes in losing weight.Starvation makes the body go into power save mode by limiting your energy levels and hanging on to the existing fat. The body makes no difference between dieting and actual starvation and will behave as if in danger. The sourse below give you answers-TOP 5 ways to lose weight in 2008!
- Boy or girl.... Eat about 6 small meals throughout the day... that speeds up your metabalism. Try to increaseyour calorie intake cause you are slowing down your metabolism and when tht happens your body trys not to loss any more weight. add 2 or 3 extra healthy meals daily and you should be fine
- Sort of. You don't even have to do all that though. I'm almost 5'5" and I weigh about 165. The highest in weight I'm allowed to go is 145, yet, that doesn't urge me to do it. I let my body do what it wants. I once weight over 200 lbs. Neither stress nor working harder will let you lose weight. WORK SMARTER!!!!!
- That is way too low for a healthy weight loss for a sedentary woman much less for one who does cardio 5 times a week. Your body will go into starving mode and you will plateau. You should try for 1500 to 1800 calories. You will lose more slowly, but you will learn how to eat properly and maintain your weight loss. Lose 20 lbs and your BMI will be in the healthy range. I don't know the intensity level of your cardio. You could add time or intensity to your workout. Do consider lifting weights. It will really tone you and make you stronger and apparently, it helps your body burn calories long after a workout. (You won't bulk up!!!.) Good luck.
- Loren, most likely you will meet a plateau in the future because you are following a constant calorie diet. Our body is able to detect the nutritional intake and change the body system according to th nutritional intake. So, if you take a low 1200 calorie diet, one day, your body will sense this and reduce the calorie burning rate. AB, I would not recommend you to take diet pills, because they are very strong and might harm your liver. I would recommend you to follow a good diet and good exercises. Some good exercises will be jogging and swimming. Try to exercise at least 30 minutes a day. I would actually recommend a rotational calorie diet called Calorie Shifting. It is a diet that change the amount of calorie intake. So, your body will not be able to change the body system. By doing so, it can improve your metabolic rate and help in losing weight. I have attended a free 7 days Calorie shifting diet course and the effect is very good. I managed to lose 3lbs in a week. Along with this answer is the link to the free 7 days diet course. Hope that this helps. Yuki
