  1. try getting indian recipie books or search the internet for quick recipes to start u off
  2. McDonalds
  3. Look on the net or go to a store where they sell authentic Indian cuisine cook books.
  4. Get an Indian cookbook! :D
  5. An easy way to start cooking Indian vegetarian food is with a vegetable biryani. I'll link to a good recipe below. Generally, it's just rice and vegetables cooked together in an herbed yogurt sauce. You can be flexible in your vegetables- the first time I made it we used peas, potatoes, tomatoes and bell peppers.
  6. easy...if youre willing to spend a few bucks, try finding a good cookbook http://search.barnesandnoble.com/booksearch/results.asp?WRD=indian+cookbook&z=y if not, you can always find recipes online for you to try.... http://www.google.com/search?hl=en&q=indian+recipes&btnG=Google+Search
  7. Have him teach you!! How fun to go shoppin at an upscale trendy grocer, going over the specific brands he uses and how he picks his vegatbles... Picking a wine or beer together... If he doesn't drink - non-alcoholic champagne is suprisingly good, esp when chilled! oh - and ussing curry? Throw it in a pan with some water... bring it to a boil (yes I sad pan - not a pot). Just a little water - enough to make it a paste... then boil out the water back to a powder... now you have some awesome curry ready to put into your cookin!! Cheers!
  8. Talk to his Mom, they are usually the best source of info for that. Also try taking a class in that subject. Good Luck
  9. There are lots of good cookbooks out there, even in the library if you aren't ready to buy. Just remember that no matter what you make, it will probably not be as authentic as his momma's home cooking, so maybe it would be easier to prepare something that he didn't grow up eating.
  10. There's this site called allrecipes.com with a vegetarian section. Click on this link for the vegetarian Indian recipes: http://allrecipes.com/directory/2003.asp There are also lots of fun recipes to try, from pasta to veggie burgers. I hope you enjoy the vegetarian food!
