What are some tips for a healthy lifestyle? I use to hate the way I looked because I was kind of chubby , so I decided to start eating healthier and exercising, but that only lead to anorexia because it felt so good to see changes. However, I am a little underweight (5'5" and 112 pounds), so I am thinking about gaining a little weight because sometimes I feel too skinny. I want to continue eating healthy, but I also want to BE healthy. What can I do to be healthy now, but also be healthy for life? (I'm 15). Thanks for all your help, and please no rude answers. =] I'm not trying to lose weight. I'm trying to gain weight to be healthy.
Looking for books or tips about living a healthy lifestyle.? I am not overweight, but am looking to start living a more healthy lifestyle by changing both my diet and by starting to workout and exercise more. I'm looking for any suggestions about good books that target either or both of these goals. I would love to work on a little muscle building too but most importantly I want to just stay fit and eat right and nutritiously. If anyone can help with this, it is greatly appreciated. P.S. I am a 19 year old male.

What are the traits and routines to a healthy lifestyle? A healthy person... 1. What time do they sleep, how much sleep do they get... 2. What's their diet? Describe the nutrients if possible. 3. How often do they exercise, and what do they do to exercise? 4. Describe anything else you think that will help me understand the concept of being healthy, or tips. Thanks.
Help us have a healthy lifestyle? My fiance and I are both slightly over weight... For the new year my resolution is to "be the person I want others to see me as." And that includes living a healthy lifestyle... I don't drink or smoke and don't eat alot of fried foods. I do eat alot of fruit and green vegetables and I think my diet is pretty good I just need to tweak it a bit and am visiting a nutritionist for that. My question is about exercise.. I work 2 jobs and go to school full time and it is very hard to fit in the time to exercise... I walk around campus and that's about it (I know that's where my problem lies).. But anyway, my fiance and I just got a dog and I was wondering if it would make a difference to take her to the park and walk for about 30 min 3 times a week or would it pretty much be pointless? If you also have any fun workout videos that don't take long I'd love to hear those too as well as any other healthy lifestyle tips :]
My NEW Healthy Lifestyle, any extra Tips? -go to gym and do cardio workout for 1hr every other day, plus some leg & abdominal excercises -drink lots of water (up to 64 oz) -reduced the sugar & salt intake (never add salt to my foods now) -Have more fiber (25grams) -crunches (30 per day) -Dont overfill my stomach -NO junk food -Green & white tea -NO sodas -Changed from normal or white bread/pastas/rice to whole wheat and brown rice -Eat less meat. and it has to be 100% with no preservatives, hormones, & steroids -Eat foods with high iron and fiber -many times i eat smaller meals/snacks every 3 hours (unless meat is involved) -more antioxidants in my diet -Buy organic/natural foods only (with NO preservatives if available) -more plain yogurt and herbs -only use olive oil to cook -reduced fast foods alot (i have salads, soups) NEW: -Take vitamin B-12 (good for metabolism) -Stopped eating meats! (except for fish) so that makes me a pescitarian -More fruits & vegetables -Never skip breakfast -Chew well -Sleep more -DONT eat 3 hours before going to bed -Stay away from HFCS, Aspartame, etc -Always read labels -Don't cook on tephlon -No canned foods and more BTW this is not really considered a ""Diet"".. i came up with it from research.. it is just some ways to be HEALTHY.. i did not really design it for only loosing weight (which it does help alot anyways).. my purpose was to find a way to be very healthy and looking great at the same time.. and this works, there is no way you will gain weight back if you keep on doing it I do NOT believe on "diets" such as nutrisystem, surgeries like lipo, and appetite suppressants... they are not good for you, and chances of gaining weight back are high.
Do you know any healthy recipes/meals/foods? Trying to lead a healthy lifestyle and need some tips!!? I have just a joined a Gym and would like to know tips on the best exercise programs for max weight loss.? I have just joined a Gym that will open in September. I am so excited cause I feel like I am finally going to take control of my life. I am a 20 year old Aussie female and I am 4'11 and 130 pounds. I wouldn't call myself fat just not in my ideal body. The equipment I would probably use are Treadmill Rowing machine Stepper & Bike and I want to do a Yoga class and a dance class. I'm just curious as to any tips people have about the best machines and classes to use and participate in and appropriate orders. I know that to boost the metabolism you are to eat 5 - 6 small meals a day, but honestly it's almost impossible to do for me. I only ever eat 2 normal sized meals (with the odd apple or biscuit in between) and I have little time to eat 6 meals with uni and work taking up most hours. Would that be a problem? Also, I'm Queen of eating chips while watching movies with my partner. Would I really have to stop that? I'm not after immediate weight loss just a healthier lifestyle. Any tips?
How to make my New Yorker lifestyle Zen + healthy? It's difficult to live in a city like New York and have that kind of 'life balance' I try to maintain. Cities like this urge you to be decadent, debaucherous, to consume above your means, in all excess, as so many autonomies running around, how can one ever take a moment 'away from it all' without actually leaving? Does anybody have any tips for an urban dweller cut off from Nature, Silence, Light and Reflection? I do find that New York's population is generally very healthy, eat well , fresh, and many organically; much exercise (at the very least all the walking, climbing stairs, etc).. Even little things, like I heard the Japanese alignin their beds north to south to affect how they sleep and wake up in the morning.. So... Anybody have any tips for healthy living in New York?

Ankylosing spondylysis results in upper back stiffness and bad posture. Can I expect some tips for lifestyle? I am 53 years old.Had bad walking style since childhood. A road accident at age of 38 made the spine weaker. MRI and HLA B27 tests are validating diagnosis and also indicating bamboo spine related issues. Body stiffness and inability to stand straight has had big impact on me. Trying my best to keep myself busy and with a positive outlook .
